Muhuru Bay, KenyaI am very pleased today to announce the launch of a new Web site for WISER, a fantastic student-led non-profit from Duke. WISER aims to build a revolutionary all-girls boarding school in Muhuru Bay, Kenya. They’re well on their way towards this goal with construction on the school starting soon. They’re also working with one of my personal role models, Dr. Paul Farmer, to directly combat poverty through education and equality.

I was approached to re-design the WISER site, and along the way we wound up overhauling the brand as well. I’m very pleased with the result. Extra special thanks to Lauren Kobylarz—this project wouldn’t have happened without her and the rest of the WISER team working so closely with me.

Check it all out at wisergirls.org.

  1. Not to be “one of those guys” but the wisergirls.org link mistakenly points to your domain.

  2. This looks great Rob, keep at it man!

  3. A job well done.

  4. That’s a nice looking site Rob. I love the color scheme used, and the header in particular looks really sharp.

  5. Geof: Good catch. Fixed.

  6. Rob,

I read your feed all the time. You are quite talented. I know I will follow your work for years to come. I am just starting out and the laundry list of things to work on is really long but I still love this stuff.

Your new site WISER is beautiful and functional. You were a great fit for the job! Paul Farmer is amazing too!

    Happy New Year.

    Regards,

    Josh

  7. It looks really good Rob–congratulations. I like what you did with the “tree” brand carried throughout the site in the footer and at the top of the page in the logo. It’s got a very “Rob Goodlate” feel to it, but in a good way.

    Well done.
